Cottage Studio

This garage studio compliments the original 1930s cottage.  The existing house was delightfully refurbished, but keeping original charm means living within the walls of a cottage built for a different time. The lower garage provides space for cars and lake toys. The upper level allows space to stretch out or step away from the family for work when needed. Together, the pair of buildings — with consistent exterior details and exposed rafter tails — creates a new getaway experience for the family, while keeping the best of the old memories intact.  Sometimes the best way to live large is to keep it small and multiply rather than tear down and start over.
