Kenwood Carriage House

This modest house in Minneapolis’ Kenwood neighborhood serves as a guest house to the adjacent property, giving the homeowners plenty of space for out-of-town guests. While its traditional exterior complements the main house, the interior contains its own fresh, modern expression: open steel shelves hang above stainless kitchen cabinets, a sleek curtain track allows for bedroom privacy, and a barn door mirror slides in and out of view in the upstairs guest bathroom. The main level entertainment area is connected to the covered porch by large sliding doors, allowing guests to watch games of lacrosse, soccer or bocce ball being played on the expansive lawn. The large private suite on the upper level provides all the comforts of home – the perfect place for guests to retreat at the end of the day.
