Midcentury Makeover

This midcentury split level overlooking a park in the Tyrol Hills neighborhood had good bones and enough square footage, but the floor plan was congested, the kitchen too closed off, and there wasn’t enough natural light. The floor plan was opened up and the kitchen and dining room swapped places, and materials were updated. New windows and doors bring in more natural light and improve access to the new patio and backyard. This renovation is a great example of the potential for houses of this era to be transformed for the way we live today.
