Kenwood Revival

This 1918 Georgian Revival already had a stately front façade, grand center hall and gracious living space, but access to the garage and back yard was cumbersome and its small, dated galley kitchen didn’t connect with the spirit of the house.

A proper kitchen was created by relocating a powder room and staircase, and a new mudroom now provides the family of five a sunny space to kick off their gear coming in from the garage or back yard. Refined finishes and details mix with fresh touches, like the vintage pulldown maps in the eating nook and the custom steel, hood, shelves and framed island. A renovation of upper bedrooms and baths as well as a clever laundry room complete this whole house revival.
