The kitchen was gutted and expanded for more workspace, and an island and desk were built in. A small, comfortable seating area was added next to the kitchen to serve as a small family room with a backyard view. A new mudroom and covered back entry make for easier, more organized comings and goings. On the second floor, the existing oversized master bath was given a much-needed makeover. And, on the street side of the home, columns, a canopy and an ornamental trellis makes the front entry welcoming to family, friends and passersby.
