The RAVE (Residential Architects Vision and Excellence) Awards, which honor Minnesota architects and their work, has selected two of our projects as award recipients in 2015.
The ‘Lake Edge’ project was awarded ‘Best New Home over 3500 SF’. This home for a vibrant young family takes in the lake with wide expanses of glass in some spaces, and playful peeks at the landscape in others. The home is a combination of practical, expressed materials such as exposed concrete and steel, but with a playful expression focused on family lake living.
The ‘Minnetonka Modern’ residence was awarded ‘Best New Home 2000-3500 SF’. Quietly positioned overlooking a scenic marsh, light abounds in the main living areas of the home, which also serve as musical teaching and performance space. The home is beautifully equipped to handle the varied activities of its creative owners, while also taking advantage of its unique site.
The winners were announced in April, and will be featured in the June issue of Mpls/St. Paul Magazine.
